PomoGem (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a mobile application developed by Karwa Labs that helps you study using timers, flashcards, notes, and an interactive focus ecosystem. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.
When you use PomoGem, you may create flashcards, import textbook files, write notes, and log grades. This data is stored entirely locally on your device using private encrypted device storage. We do not transmit, collect, or store this data on any server we operate.
You may optionally provide a display name and select an avatar emoji for your in-app profile. This information is stored exclusively on your device using private local storage and is never transmitted to any server, shared with third parties, or accessible by Karwa Labs. Providing this information is entirely voluntary and the app is fully functional without it.
Your study timer durations, Focus Gems, subject preferences, and streaks are recorded strictly locally to calculate your progress. No statistics or behavioral data is collected by us.
The app may send local device notifications — for example, to alert you when a study session ends. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server communication or data transmission. You may disable notifications at any time via your device’s system settings.
We do not directly collect any device identifiers, hardware information, IP addresses, or location data.
We do not track, log, or monitor how you use the app. No usage statistics, session durations, feature interactions, or behavioral data is collected by us.
Your study data and focus statistics are used exclusively on your local device to provide the core timer and educational tracking functionalities. We do not use any of your directly entered notes/information for profiling.
PomoGem is a free tool supported by non-personalized advertising. We use Google AdMob to display ads within the app. AdMob may collect and use generic data such as device identifiers, IP address, and technical network usage data to serve basic ads. We strictly request non-personalized ads only to maximize your data privacy. Furthermore, the application is distributed via standard distribution channels (Google Play Store, Apple App Store), which may collect generic app distribution metrics natively governed by their respective privacy policies.
All user-generated data (notes, flashcards, timer statistics) is stored exclusively locally on your device in the app’s private sandboxed storage, which is not accessible to other apps. No user data is transmitted to any server operated by Karwa Labs. We do not operate any backend servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
Your study files and statistics are stored on your device until you choose to delete them. You can delete all stored data at any time by using the data reset options in the app settings, or by completely uninstalling the app from your operating system. When you delete your data, all locally stored information is permanently and irreversibly removed from your device.
PomoGem is a general productivity tool not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at karwalabs@gmail.com and we will assist you in deleting that information.
You have the right to: (a) access all data stored by the app — your notes, times, and preferences are visible natively via the app interface; (b) delete all stored data at any time via the reset options; (c) withdraw consent by uninstalling the app; (d) data portability — since all data is stored exclusively on your device, you maintain full control at all times.
Since all data processing occurs entirely offline locally on your device and there is no external network communication for your core application data, there are no international data transfers performed by Karwa Labs.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and will be available within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
